James M Anderson, Masaya Kuniyoshi, and Andreas Horneffer went to Effelsberg to check on a broken rubidium clock and swap out broken RCU boards.

 

The rubidium clock produces a 5 MHz sine wave output, but no 10 MHz output nor the 1 PPS output.  The LOFAR station is totally useless without these signals for operation.  Menno Norden at ASTRON contacted to find out whether or not they have a spare.
