James M Anderson, Masaya Kuniyoshi, and Andreas Horneffer went to Effelsberg to check on a broken rubidium clock and swap out broken RCU boards.
The rubidium clock produces a 5 MHz sine wave output, but no 10 MHz output nor the 1 PPS output. The LOFAR station is totally useless without these signals for operation. Menno Norden at ASTRON contacted to find out whether or not they have a spare.
