Call for Proposals

The Effelsberg LOFAR station is open for use by MPIfR staff members, postdocs, and students, as determined by the MPIfR directors.  There is no proposal deadline at this time.  Simply fill out the LaTeX proposal form and submit it to lofar-obs@mpifr-bonn.mpg.de  Or, print out the form, mark your comments down by hand, and give the form to Masaya.  (Note that at some point in the future we may prefer to have your raw LaTeX file instead.)

Please note that:

1. The software to use the station is still under development.  If you want to do something, you have to write the software to do that.
2. The station is still being heavily tested, and the expectation is that all time requests for at least the rest of the year will be requests for test time.
3. The MPIfR directors are responsible for determining all time allocations for the station.
4. The scientific justification area is currently unimportant.  We need to know what it is you are trying to do, how much time you need to do that, how much disk space and processing time you need to accomplish those things, and so on.
5. Results of observations and testing must be regularly reported to the MPIfR LOFAR group.
