For details, see the public page https://eventhorizontelescope.org/

MPIfR is part of the EHT Science Council and Institutional Board. The MPIfR is active in EHT science and scientific analysis of the EHT observational data related to AGN/jet/black hole astrophysics and pulsar astrophysics.

In addition, the MPIfR VLBI Group and the VLBI Technical Group support 230 GHz VLBI observations via the APEX and Pico Veleta telescopes. Correlation of annual EHTC VLBI observations is carried out in parallel at the MIT Haystack correlator and the Bonn VLBI HPC correlator cluster. The MPIfR is further active in hardware (DBBC3) and software (DiFX) development related to EHTC and VLBI in general.
