Everytime a new DBC firmware version is installed (PFB or tunable) the calibration parameters should be determined. 1) Apply a tone of 764 MHz at -15dBm to input #1 of all of the DBBC boards using a splitter. 2) Start the DBBC firmware (PFB or DDC) and wait until programming is finished 3) start the DBBC client (e.g. "DBBC client v3.exe") > dbbcifa=1,agc,1 (selects input #1 for ifa) > dbbcifb=1,agc,1 (selects input #2 for ifb) wait a while until the agc has stabilized. 4) start the calibration for PFB mode: > calibration for DDC mode: > dbbcgain=all, man > calibration=all a file containing the results is produces in c:\ (e.g. DATE-calib.txt) inspect or plot the DATE-calib.txt file and search for the minimum between the two peaks. insert the minimum values into the configuration file e.g. c:\DBBC_CONF\dbbc_config_file_104.txt (file name varies depending on the version). Edit the line just above CAT2 entry.
